Torclum has joined the manifesto of the World Region of Gastronomy \u2013 Catalonia 2025<\/strong>, an initiative aimed at positioning Catalonia as a global reference in the field of gastronomy.<\/p>\n

Catalonia will be the World Region of Gastronomy in 2025<\/strong>, becoming the first European region to receive this distinction. The World Region of Gastronomy initiative is led by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts, and Tourism (IGCAT)<\/strong>, a non-profit organization that has been working with consortia of regional entities and stakeholders in gastronomy, culture, arts, and tourism since 2010.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/section>\r\n\t\t\t\t

This manifesto of the World Region of Gastronomy \u2013 Catalonia 2025 is based on ten key points:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  1. Territory<\/strong>: We promote gastronomic heritage and agri-food landscapes, fostering their social, environmental, and economic sustainability. We aim to contribute to the cohesion and dynamization of the entire Catalan territory.<\/li>\n
  2. Tradition<\/strong>: Catalan cuisine, with its unique blend of tradition and innovation, is a defining element of our country. We seek to highlight our food system, based on the richness and diversity of our products, as well as quality and responsibility.<\/li>\n
  3. Identity<\/strong>: We work to recognize the entire value chain, from farmers and fishermen to chefs and restaurants, highlighting the uniqueness of Catalan gastronomy and its contribution to the world.<\/li>\n
  4. Regenerative Tourism<\/strong>: We advocate for a model of wine and gastronomic tourism that is regenerative and of high quality, bringing value to the community and rooted in the territory.<\/li>\n
  5. Culture<\/strong>: We want the citizens of Catalonia to become advocates and consumers of local products, recognizing the efforts of our producers and working to improve associated infrastructure and services.<\/li>\n
  6. Internationalization<\/strong>: We promote the professionalization of the sector to continue expanding Catalan gastronomy internationally, raising awareness of our products and culinary traditions.<\/li>\n
  7. Innovation<\/strong>: We encourage collaboration between public organizations and actors in the value chain to enhance the competitiveness of our products.<\/li>\n
  8. Sustainability<\/strong>: We promote a circular economy, combating food waste, and extending the product life cycle.<\/li>\n
  9. Excellence<\/strong>: We are inspired by the gastronomic revolution started by Ferran Adri\u00e0 and other great chefs, seeking new forms of innovation in the gastronomic experience.<\/li>\n
  10. Social Commitment<\/strong>: We advocate for the health and well-being of people, especially through healthy eating.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
